How it works

Edit your PDF
  1. Open the PDF

Choose a file or drop it on the page. Nothing to install.

  2. Click and type

The line opens for editing where it is. A paragraph re-breaks as you type.

  3. Download

Compare shows exactly what changed. Then save the file.

The change doesn't show

Above, a date and a company name were changed. Drag the line to compare: the letters are the document's own font, the spacing is the line's own, and nothing else on the page moved.

If an edit can't be made that way — a letter the font doesn't have, for example — Seamtype tells you instead of using another font.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes, while the editor is in beta: every tool, and downloads without a watermark.

Will the edited text really look the same?

Yes: the new letters are set in the document's own font, at the positions and spacing of the line, and the page is compared with the original after each change.

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

A scan is a picture of text: there are no letters to change. The editor tells you when a page is a scan; you can still sign it, add text, mark it up or black out parts of it.
