No more font or formatting problems after edits
Press Open a PDF or drop the file on the page. The browser editor takes PDF files of up to 20 MB and 50 pages. A PDF that needs a password asks for it, and the file you download keeps the same password. A digitally signed PDF opens locked: the editor tells you that a change makes the signature invalid and lets you edit only after you allow it. No file at hand? Open one of the samples.
Click the text you want to change: a paragraph opens whole, a line in a table or a form opens alone. Type, then press Enter to apply or Esc to cancel. The new text is set in the document's own font. Step by step
If the document's font lacks a letter you type and the same typeface has none either, the text is not changed and you are told which letter is missing. You can add such text in another font with Add text.
The tools are on the left: Add text, Sign, Mark up, Picture, Fill form, Redact, Find and Strip — the page thumbnails, where you turn, delete and move pages, add another PDF and number the pages.
Every change is one entry in the list of edits (the counter next to the file's name). Undo and redo with the arrows at the top, or Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y. Compare puts the page as it was and as it is now on one page: drag the line across it. Original shows the file as it was opened.
Press Download. You can rate how well the editor handled your document — this helps us improve it — and download. Tick Make the pictures smaller for a lighter file; tick pages in the strip to download only those.
“This page is a scan.” A scan is a picture of text: there are no letters to change. You can still sign it, add text, mark it up and black out parts of it.
“The document was closed.” A document is closed after 30 minutes without use. Open the file again.
“Too many files opened from your address.” Try again in an hour.
An edit is refused. The editor refuses an edit that would change the page outside the words you changed, and says why. Try a shorter change, or edit the line in two steps.
